“If you knew Dr. Schmitt for less than 90 seconds, you might be excused for thinking that the court documents portray something similar to reality. But I have known him for eight years. If some government agency doesn’t like him—the sort of government agency that publishes broken websites, subsidizes fraudulent daycares, and can’t bother to keep lead out of the drinking water—it’s not him, it’s the agency. He’s talented, energetic, and generous, and tries very hard to be fully present and engaged in all of his conversations. Unfortunately, government bureaucrats call that sort of thing threatening behavior these days. We need to fix that agency and get this man justice.”
