But it could not happen here—could it?

“A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within.  The essential causes of Rome’s decline lay in her people, her morals, her class struggle, her failing trade, her bureaucratic despotism [emphasis mine] her stifling taxes, her consuming wars.” —Will Durant (1885 – 1981)

I will be “thinking out loud” as my writing has been critiqued to be.  I want to examine whether–and if so how–a determined and committed citizenry can save their nation, and the nations of the grander civilization to which similar nations belong.  We will need to be direct and straightforward about the threats.  There is no time for lying, patronizing, self-destructively protecting the feelings of others and self-deceiving.  The ruthless truth alone can lance the infected body cavity like a scalpel.  But to be sure, other surgical instruments of social, cultural and governmental reformation will be needed to remove the purulent, putrescent and encysted things that have taken hold.  Without doubt this disease has been broadly disseminated necessitating corrections in the finest of details.  The challenge to a physician at this advanced stage of disease is to kill the infection without killing the patient.  Only the powers of restoration that inhere in the living thing itself can be hoped for to aid the doctor in its recovery.

Another brazen, shameless agent of tyranny, George Soros, wants to stifle free speech.  These people cannot possible believe their own spin (I won’t dignify it by calling it rhetoric).  Their post-modern fakery is nothing more than throwing gobs of filth at the wall and seeing how much sticks.
